To our surprise, the song became one of the most watched, listened and requested songs that we’ve ever done, and today this recording is used domestically by schools, councils, community groups and other parties to celebrate within Australia. We count it a great honour to be able to be such a blessing for so many. It Came Upon The Midnight Clear (Christ Is Born) was Sophia’s first official solo single. She really wanted to do something jazzy for Christmas, and specifically requested to have a saxophone playing in the background. With that simple request in mind we set about recreating this well known Christmas carol with a contemporary jazz feel, including adding some original lyrics to point the song more directly towards the birth of our Saviour, Jesus.
